Welcome to Rel 8 Radio!

Rel8radio offers broadcast programmes that are delivered, hosted, facilitated and organised by trained young people. As well as offering a wide range of music, our programmes will deliver information and advice on jobs & training opportunities and local events.

Rel8radio programming will seek to continually involve its listeners by providing opportunities to discuss issues that affect our target audience, the youth of today and those interested in listening and engaging with their views.

Rel8radio will provide a platform for young people to voice their views, opinions, and concerns in a format that values their input. A key priority is to include young people from different social and ethnic backgrounds, communities, localities, religions/belief through the medium of music radio, discussing issues like cohesion, bullying, racism, extremism and other areas of interest.

Rel8radio will include young people who are interested in gaining experience in radio, such as presenting, journalism and research.

Rel8radio is a project initiated by Cardiff Communities First Ethnic Minority Communities Programme, Cardiff Council Youth Service, Social Inclusion programme, and the Buzzin' Youth.
